On Monday, 21 Sept the President of the US met with New York City (NYC) Mayor Zohran Mamdani to discuss affordable housing, immigration, and other important issues affecting New Yorkers. According to the report, the meeting's main focus was the Sunnyside Yards Housing Plan. Under this plan, the 180-acre Sunnyside yard in Queens will become a new neighbourhood with 12,000 affordable homes. In this meeting, immigration became another key issue. NYC Mayor raised safety concerns for immigrant New Yorkers and Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
